Discover French Polynesia

Destination

With five archipelagos spanning the width of Europe, each home to a distinctive culture and history, French Polynesia is known for its rich and diverse folklore. It is in the western portion of the Society Islands, known as the Leeward Islands, that travelers find the shimmering pearl of the Pacific: Bora Bora. French Polynesia’s main island of Tahiti is just eight hours from Los Angeles and San Francisco, and Bora Bora is an additional 50-minute flight, making your dream destination an easily accessible reality.

Discover French Polynesia

• French Polynesia, also known as The Islands of Tahiti, comprises 118 islands divided into 5 archipelagos, spanning a territory as wide as Europe
• After a 8-hour flight from LAX or SFO, a 5-hour flight from AKL or a 9-hour flight from SEA to the main island of Tahiti, expect a 50-minute flight from Tahiti to Bora Bora.
• Bora Bora’s year-round temperature hovers between 24°C (75°F) and 30°C (86°F)
The islands experience two seasons: November to April is the wet season (with January the wettest month of all), while May to October is dry season (August is the driest month)
