Sustainability Environment
We place environmental issues at the heart of what we do and are committed to environmentally friendly practices: from energy and waste management to initiatives in and around our hotel to promote biodiversity.
We have conducted a carbon assessment in order to define an action plan with targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. For example, we’ve planned for all of our bungalows to be fitted with solar water heaters by 2028.
All of our bungalows are equipped with water pressure regulators. We also know that access to drinking water is a luxury: recycled water is used in our gardens to water our plants daily.
In 2024, we conducted a census of our marine population: 6,859 individuals were identified among 79 species of fish and 7 species of invertebrates across 435 m² of coral reef. Our goal is to increase this biodiversity by 5% in 2030.
To reduce the use of harmful chemicals, promote alternative solutions, and foster a healthier and more sustainable work environment, we use ozonated water to clean rooms and common areas.
We understand the importance of food and work every day with our teams to reduce or prevent food waste.
We sort our waste so that each family item of waste is sent to the appropriate treatment facility. To help us in this task, recycling bins are available for our guests.
We started with an audit and are now moving forward step by step to eliminate or replace single-use plastics. This includes everything from straws and packaging to decorations.
In order to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions as set out in the French Polynesia Climate Plan, we encourage and support innovative local carbon offset projects.
